You can see here the webpage of the only Medical Health Centre for Seagoing Practice, which is the only legally authorized Medical Center to comply with this job in Hungary. Our Ship's Doctors' Centre has an internationally accepted accreditation and it is listed by the International Maritime Organization as well. The centre has fifty years experience in this practice, and we are able to answer your all professional questions arisen connecting to the ships' health affairs.
The head of the centre is a chief physician who has more years experience in sea-going service certified by Seamen's Book, and he has already carried out, and considered a plenty of medical examinations of Seafarers' fitness for 22 years, furthermore he is also an experienced yachtsman with his own pleasure boat.
According to the actual national legislation in force the physicians of the Medical Centre for Aviation, Shipping and Maritime Health are (exclusively) authorized to carry out:

1. regular medical examinations and certification of seamen, sailors stewards, cooks, chambermaids, musicians, etc who are working on board of ships,
|
2. initial medical examinations of all yachtsmen of seagoing pleasure boats,
|
3. regular periodical medical examinations of 1st and 2nd class skippers of unlimited (200 nautical miles and more from the shore) seagoing-pleasure boats.

The Aviation, Shipping and Maritime Health and Training Centre Ltd. Co. is the only Medical training-institute in Hungary authorized by the International Maritime Organization and by the Hungarian Superintendence for Shipping to train the basic medical first aid courses for boatsmen and to organize the trainings of Seafarers in accordance with IMO approved model courses nos.1.13, 1.14, and 1.15.
